I was asked to paint a 3 x 5 inch painting to give Dr. Vern Swanson, the retired director of the Springville Museum of Art for his retirement. I painted this on site in plein air for Dr. Swanson. It was presented to him at an event in May, 2013. This was a forced retirement due to an illness. His many years of devoted work at the museum are greatly appreciated by all. I wish him a full recovery.
